Before Boys Next Door, before Whirlywirld, before the Laughing Clowns, there was the
Young Charlatans. This band of youngsters that would go on to change the face of
Australian music, never released any records during their short existence, so this archival
document contains most of everything that has survived: a demo tape and some live
recordings. Fidelity is the best that can be mustered (not great!) but this is more than
that; it's those first steps toward greatness. The highlight is the early
version of "Shivers", but there's lots to love here.
