YDI - A Place In The Sun/Black Dust 2LP

YDI - A Place In The Sun/Black Dust 2LP

Oh man.... this is SO GOOD!!  YDI - pronounced "Why Die" - were Philadelphia's finest hardcore punk band in the early '80s. They released the classic A Place In The Sun EP in 1983, heavily influenced by Black Flag, Germs and DC hardcore, then took an about-turn in 1985 with their finale, the amazing Black Dust LP. The LP saw them playing a lo-fi, grungy, metallic and psychotically anti-social brand of punk which sounded like a meeting point of Flipper, Drunks With Guns, Saint Vitus and Venom. This 2LP set has EVERYTHING you need, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
