James Victor "Vic" Chesnutt was an American singer-songwriter
from Athens, Georgia. This was his penultimate album before his
death in 2009, blending country-folk, Southern soul, and post-rock
around dark lyrical themes. Achingly sad, it's quite a swan song.
He'll be sorely missed.
