Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory - s/t lp

Brooklyn singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten has gone for something
different here: a group recording. Maybe she felt like she needed to
do something unusual, and considering how, er, familiar her last album
felt, it's great that she's always pushing forward. Much of this sounds like
it came out of the '80s - shades of New Order, Siouxsie and some dark,
goth balladry - and it's her best since she's done for a while.
