Kim Gordon - Play Me LP

The ex-Sonic Youth bass player's 2026 album is a stark change from 
the sound you might expect. Harking back to a smoky, downbeat vibe
used on some of the Ciccone Youth album with updated backing from
gritty, bass-heavy sampled loops. Kim's charisma oozes out of the 
speakers as she shows this deep and dark, underground R&B 
sound is perfectly suited to her voice. For my money, it's the 
best Sonic Youth-related record in the 21st Century.
