Emmylou Harris - Red Dirt Girl 2LP

Emmylou continues the evolution from innocent folkie to present 
day renaissance woman on this 2000 album. Alternately sparse 
and lush, this can be seen as a companion piece to 1995's Wrecking
Ball. Here, drum loops and middle eastern melodies nestle comfortably
next to warm guitar work and Harris' gently wavering voice. Different
from her 70s sound but with the same honesty and clarity.
