This 1971 album was where Dolly showed her true talent. Sure, she'd done some nice things before but on this set, she wrote 7 of the 10 songs (Porter Wagoner wrote the other 3), and let the world know that she was just as great as writing as a performer. There's not a dud track as Dolly moves effortlessly from upbeat country numbers to downhome tearjerkers.
