The Bay Area's Golliwogs were essentially Creedence Clearwater Revival under a different name, when they were a garage band very much in the Nuggets vein. In fact, various tracks here have been used on several '60s garage-rock comps over the years. Nothing groundbreaking here, but that wasn't the point: simply good, honest American R 'n' R.
