Perhaps the most uncompromising early British punk record, Crass delivered the goods in 1978, serving up a set of super-brief, incoherent rants over pummeling drums and incomprehensible vocals that was shockingly ahead of the curve. More than a mere punk rock band: this was a statement about a whole new way of life, and unlike many, they walked it like they talked it.
