The former member of Tangerine Dream and Kluster made his international
debut (after several self-released gems) with this record when it came out
in 1978. Produced by Peter Baumann (who also played in Tangerine Dream,
after Conrad had left), "Con" is a set of shimmering, cosmic synth jams
with ticking, alien rhythms and gliding tones. A real precursor to IDM, it
plays like a deeply underground Kraftwerk, and is one of Conrad's
