LA's Savage Republic were one of the great pioneering post-
punk bands in California in the early '80s. They mixed up tribal,
'ethnic' jams with an almost Angloid sound - think of a mix between
Joy Division, Can, 'Neubauten and Dick Dale - into a wholly original
sound. They were later a big influence on Godspeed and many of the
Constellation bands. This is their great debut LP from 1982.
