Fenn Wilson - Ghost Heroin LP

Originally self-released on CD in November of 2019, hopefully this vinyl edition on the Cheersquad label of this truly fantastic local release will see it getting some wider attention. An album dedicated to his late father, the great Chris Wilson, it's a deeply personal and moving piece of work. Fenn has the rich and deep voice of his dad, though the musical approach is perhaps a bit looser and less blues-based, bringing to mind the works of Tim Buckley, Fred Neil and Van Morrison (think Happy Sad/"Dolphins"/Astral Weeks). Seriously excellent and highly recommended!
