Modern Lovers - Modern Lovers LP
$55.00
Originally recorded in 1971 and 1972 by John Cale and Kim Fowley, these recordings were made at the wrong point in history. It seemed like no one wanted to hear Jonathan Richman's sweet, playful garage-rock songs about love and tenderness which harkened back to rock & roll's more innocent days. Certainly not in the early '70s. Ironically, it took the punk rock movement to bring this classic out of its shell and see release in 1976. After all, Richman and the punks had something in common: they both hated hippies. A total classic, back in print. You need it.
