Wilde Club singles and the seven minute lovelorn "Black Metallic", 1992's
'Ferment' firmly established Catherine Wheel amongst the shoegaze
contingent of the early ‘90s. This deeply rich debut is shrouded in wafts
of distortion and blurry production- which is exactly how great shoegaze
should be. A classic of the genre. Recommended!
