The Brakes - Big Rock LP

Fantastic debut LP from this new band on the Legless label, home
of the Stiff Richards, Split System, etc. There's a bit of that sound
in here, but The Brakes also have a big dose of '70s/'80s Oz pub-
rock, especially The Sports and Paul Kelly. Great songwriting here,
with a real Australian sound without sounding corny about it.
A real surprise! Recommended.
