Abelardo Barroso - Cha Cha Cha LP

Barroso was a star in Cuba in the 20s and 30s, and by the 50s he was reduced to busking on the streets. This wonderful collection documents the inspired collaborations with Orquesta Sensación that ignited his rags-to-riches comeback. Melding flutes and violins with a unique and dynamic rhythm section, the Orquesta provided a fresh new backdrop to Barroso's passionate and distinctive voice.
