Issam Hajali was guitarist in the Lebanese prog band Rainbow Bridge. He fled to Paris during the Syrian occupation, writing his great debut album in 1976. The set fuses jazz and folk with Arabic and Iranian influences, and explores his political views of exile in the west, via the poetry of Palestinian Samih al-Qasim.
