Ibrahim Hesnawi - The Father of Libyan Reggae LP

Ibrahim's life changed when he first heard Bob Marley and this
Libyan musician set about creating a style of reggae that brings
the heart of Kingston into the Middle East, picking up local sounds
as well as some jazz, funk, and disco edges. Libyan music features
a similar counterpoint between bass and drum downbeat and the 
offbeat rhythm section, so the music flourished in the country, 
and there's always been a small, but loyal, reggae scene since.
