Dom Um Romão was a Brazilian jazz drummer and percussionist who
played with Weather Report, Cannonball Adderley, Paul Simon, Antonio 
Carlos Jobim, and Jorge Ben. A vital entry in the 1970s Brazilian jazz-funk 
canon, 1976's Hotmosphere brings together deep Afro-Brazilian percussion 
with smooth electric jazz textures and syncopated funk rhythms, resulting 
in a sound both sophisticated and irresistibly danceable.
