Spacemen 3 first gained notoriety within the local Rugby scene
for gigs which more often than not climaxed with twenty minutes
of shimmering, narcotic guitar noise. Their music consisted large-
ly of recycled guitar licks and lyrics, taken from the tail end of the
psychedelic era, mixed liberally with howling feedback and walls
