Green Day - Dookie LP

On the back of Nirvana's "Nevermind" taking over the world, Green Day (a band of promising young punks with true underground credentials) got a major label deal and released this corker; a re-imagining of the nascent days of punk (especially bands like the Buzzcocks and Stiff Little Fingers). It spawned a lot of imitators but nobody did it quite as well.
